Terms of Service - Dokkaebi

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service define the terms and conditions, rights, obligations, and responsibilities between BYJW.Studio ("the Company") and users of the Dokkaebi application ("the App").

2. Service Overview

Dokkaebi is an Android app that provides a location-based arrival alert service.

Destination search and map display via Google Maps
Proximity detection via Geofencing
Vibration and notification alerts upon arrival
Wear OS device integration

3. User Obligations

Users must not engage in the following activities:

Using the app for illegal purposes
Interfering with the normal operation of the app
Decompiling or reverse engineering the app
Infringing on the rights of others

4. Service Usage

The following permissions are required to use the app:

Location Access (Required): Required to determine your current location and detect arrival at your destination. Includes background location access.
Notifications (Required): Required to send arrival alerts.
Vibration: Required for vibration alerts upon arrival.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in Android Settings. However, revoking location permission will prevent the app's core features from functioning.

5. Service Limitations

The Company may limit service provision in the following cases:

When system maintenance, repair, or updates are required
When changes to Google services (Maps, Places, Play Services) make service provision difficult
In cases of force majeure such as natural disasters or national emergencies

6. Disclaimer

The Company is not liable for the following:

Service disruptions caused by the user's own actions
Location accuracy issues due to poor GPS signal or network failures
Delayed or missed alerts due to device battery saver mode or location permission restrictions
Issues caused by failures or changes in third-party services (Google Maps, Google Places)
Indirect or incidental damages resulting from app usage

This app is not recommended for use in safety-critical situations (e.g., while driving). The Company is not responsible for any accidents resulting from such use.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights of the app belong to the Company. Users may only use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Changes to Terms

The Company may modify these Terms if necessary. Updated Terms will be announced through the app or this page. If you do not agree with the changes, you may discontinue use of the app.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes related to the service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
