FitSync

1. Overview

FitSync ("the App") values your privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access and how we use it.

2. Information We Access

FitSync accesses the following information:

  • HealthKit Workout Data: Workout type, start/end time, duration, calories burned, distance, and average heart rate
  • Apple Calendar Data: Calendar information where workout records are stored (when using Apple Calendar)
  • Google Calendar Data: Calendar information where workout records are stored (when using Google Calendar)
  • Google Account Information: Email address for authentication purposes (when using Google Calendar)

3. How We Use Information

The information accessed is used solely for:

  • Converting HealthKit workout records into calendar events
  • Checking records to prevent duplicate synchronization
  • Creating and managing events through Google Calendar API

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored only on your device.

FitSync does not transmit any data to external servers. Workout records and calendar data are processed only on your iPhone, and the app developer has no access to your data.

When using Google Calendar, data is transmitted directly between your device and Google's servers, without passing through the app developer's servers.

Data Protection Mechanisms:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communications with Google Calendar are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
  • Authentication Token Security: Google OAuth tokens are stored in Apple Keychain, protected by AES-256 hardware encryption.
  • Local Data Encryption: Sync records are encrypted using iOS Data Protection. Data cannot be accessed when the device is locked.
  • HealthKit Data Protection: Raw HealthKit data is never transmitted outside your device. Only workout summary information (workout type, duration, distance, etc.) is stored in your calendar as text.
  • App Sandbox: FitSync runs in an iOS app sandbox environment, preventing other apps from accessing FitSync data.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

FitSync retains sync records on your device while the app is installed. You can delete your data through the following methods:

  • Disconnect Google Account: Signing out in the app settings immediately deletes all authentication tokens.
  • Uninstall App: Deleting the app completely removes all local data (sync records, settings, tokens).
  • Revoke Access from Google Account: You can revoke FitSync's access permissions from your Google Account settings.

6. Third-Party Sharing

FitSync does not share your personal information with any third parties.

However, when using Google Calendar features, Google's Privacy Policy applies.

7. Your Rights

You can exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Revoke the app's HealthKit access in iOS Settings
  • Revoke the app's Calendar access in iOS Settings
  • Disconnect your Google account in the app's settings
  • Delete all local data by uninstalling the app

8. Children's Privacy

FitSync does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated. Any changes will be notified through the app or this page.
