1. Overview
MapMo (the "Service") is a web service operated by BYJW.Studio (the "Company") for personal real-estate scouting notes on a map. We respect your privacy and comply with applicable data-protection laws. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
2. Information We Collect
- Account info (required): When you sign in with Google or Apple OAuth, we receive your email address, name, and profile image URL. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email," only an anonymous relay email is received.
- User content: Pins, memos, checklists, ratings, listing fields (URL, price, area), tags, categories, overlays (polygon/circle/polyline), distance measurements, and uploaded photos that you create in the Service.
- Map state: Your last viewed map center and zoom level, so we can restore the view on next visit.
- Map search queries: Addresses or place names you type are sent to the Kakao Maps API to fetch results. We do not separately store search terms.
- Location (optional): Only used on demand (e.g. "Pin my location" button) via the browser Geolocation permission. We persist a location only when you save it as a pin.
3. Purpose of Use
- Identify the signed-in user and isolate their data
- Store pins, areas, memos, and photos; restore them across sessions
- Render the map, search results, distance and POI calculations
- Operate the service and respond to incidents (technical logs: IP, user-agent, errors)
4. Storage & Security
All user content is stored in Supabase (Postgres + Storage). Row Level Security (RLS) policies in the database ensure that only the owning user can read or modify their data — other users cannot access it.
- Transport encryption: All communication uses HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher.
- At-rest encryption: Supabase provides at-rest encryption for the underlying storage.
- Access control: Auth.js + Supabase RLS double isolation. The operator does not routinely access user memos or photos, and accesses them only when required for incident response or legal obligation.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth: Sign-in via Google. Google's privacy policy applies.
- Sign in with Apple: Sign-in via Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies.
- Kakao Maps JavaScript SDK: Map rendering and place search. Kakao's privacy policy applies.
- Supabase: Database, auth tokens, and file storage. Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (AWS).
- Vercel: Web hosting and serverless functions.
6. International Data Transfer
Supabase and Vercel infrastructure operates from data centers in the US, Europe, and Asia. By using the Service you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and stored in the country where the underlying infrastructure is located.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Individual deletion: You can delete pins, areas, photos, memos, categories, and tags directly within the Service.
- Account deletion: To delete your account and all associated content, email byjw.studio@gmail.com. We process such requests within 7 business days.
- Auth tokens: Session tokens expire automatically and are invalidated on sign-out.
8. No Sale to Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise provide your personal information or content to third parties. Limited disclosure may occur only in response to lawful requests by public authorities.
9. Your Rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Invalidate session tokens (sign out)
- Request account deletion
- Withdraw consent to data processing
10. Children's Privacy
MapMo does not accept users under the age of 14 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users via the Service or this page in advance of material changes.
